I’m curious about smoking marijuana and this is what I learned

Many people who are curious about smoking marijuana, or who have friends and/or family members who use the marijuana, wonder “What does it feel like to be high and how do I smoke it?”
First, I have learned marijuana and being high is a very unpredictable when it comes to its intoxication effects. When people are high on marijuana, the experience is strongly affected by many factors that are not necessarily involved with the marijuana. They are actually due to one’s surroundings and their feelings about the people they are with at the time. Another factor is a person’s mental state of mind when using the marijuana and the environment where it is used that influences the effects.
The second thing I learned about smoking marijuana it is a social activity. One of the first and most surprising observations I had about marijuana is that it was not at all like I imagined it would be. Somehow, although I had no experience with it, I had developed my own ideas about what it would be like. I thought it would be like watching a really weird movie, or having a bizarre dream. However, it is not like that at all; it's more like you're “in” the movie, or the “in” bizarre dream. It's not a passive experience. It changes the way you perceive things.
Attempting to describe what it is like to smoke marijuana is actually rather difficult. It's like trying to look at something that moves out of sight whenever you look in its direction. Marijuana does not make things look different, sound different, or taste different and yet, it does. You tend to notice things you have never noticed before and you see details that you would otherwise have skipped. But, they are nonetheless no different than they were before you got high.
Time seems to slow way down. There were times when I would look at my watch, and then check it again after what seemed like an hour, to find that it had been 10 minutes. Without question, it makes you feels good. I had previously heard this effect described as a feeling of euphoria, although that seems a bit strong to me. Happy and content seemed more accurate.
The feeling creeps up on you. After you have had your first hit of marijuana you start wondering, “When is it going to start to happening?" After a while, you realize that it has already started. The transition is hard to identify. It is like trying to figure out the moment you fell asleep. Try as you might, you always wake up the next morning with no memory of what it was actually like to fall asleep.
There are many ways to smoke marijuana, but the most common ways are; a hand rolled joint, oil vape pen, pipe, a bong, or it can be cooked with marijuana extract. I have learned that water-pipes are easiest for the novice pot-smokers. The smoke is drawn through a reservoir of cold water, which acts as a filter and also cools the smoke down so that it is not as painful on your throat. An important thing I learned is to stay hydrated and if you intend on increasing your marijuna high, do so in a safe environment and only to a level that you feel comfortable. The experience differs slightly with each person and in the right setting with the right strain for you, it’s likely to be a very pleasant experience.
